Fashion Film: MQUEYT
Defined as a 'doom loop' this film takes us through a series of interconnected screens, as a mixture of real and CGI deadpan models go about their business in enclosed, domestic environments.
In part a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdowns, much of human interaction is now carried out through screens. But despite the dystopian, digital mood, nature will always prevail – if you look closely, you can see greenery forcing its way through the cracks.
Commissioned by Australian womenswear brand MQUEYT, filmmaker Rei Nadal's latest fashion film reflects our current reality.
