Day 7: Are You Represented?

published on 7 December 2020

The final day of the Fashion Roundtable Instagram takeover leaves us with the question fashion has been pressed to ask in 2020: are you represented? Guests came together in a series of panel discussions and conversations, pondering the question that begs us to look at fashion and its inclusivity from an outside perspective.

Tamara Cincik chaired a panel discussion with disability activists Cecilia Adamou and Lucy Dawson, discussing the visibility of disability in fashion while Fashion Roundtable's Davina Appiagyei had two conversations, the first with designer Eden Loweth (ART SCHOOL) and the second with historian Royce Mahawatte.

Throughout the day various other important conversations took place focusing on representation in fashion. Karen Binns spoke with fashion director Kenya Hunt, creative director Harris Elliot, educator Andrew Ibi and GQ's editor Elgar Johnson, while Cincik spoke with designer Rahemur Rahman and Baroness Lola Young.

In-keeping with the week's tradition, disability activist and Fashion Roundtable's editor Lottie Jackson curated a series of posts reflecting on the day's highlights before Fashion Roundtable came together to thank everyone who tuned in.
