Pink-ness No. 6 - 'Enclosed you will find a bottle of Pink-Ness No.6. The following instructions are to take you through a process, which, I hope, you and the perfume will gain most from experientially. Let us begin: Sit down. Open the bottle. Try to resist smelling the perfume directly out of the bottle. Dip the thin white paper strip into the scent and remove. The alcohol, which the scent is preserved in, needs a little time to evaporate. Allow about a minute for this to take place. This process can be speeded up a little by gently waving/shaking/agitating the strip. Now close your eyes and inhale very slowly. Repeat as often as desired. What happens next is entirely up to you. You can apply the scent to your skin or to someone else’s, see how the scent smells in 5 minutes or an hour etc. etc. etc. Take your time to engage/yield/play with the scent, being aware of how you feel and how your body naturally responds during the experience.' Text included with perfume, both by Lisa Z. Morgan
Petite Mort by Marc Atlan, Edition 3 of 100 - Inspired directly by the only bodily fluid secreted solely through desire and brain chemistry, Petite Mort (Parfum d'une Femme) embodies the elusive substance that is created by a woman when she is about to climax. Petite mort, little death, total release; beyond a scent, more like a convulsion of the senses, like a hot, gasping breath that penetrates your memories and alters your subconscious. An insidiously attractive, sharp redolence, on the fine line between repulsion and addiction, Petite Mort insinuates itself into your veins and your mind. This fragrance is not really a classic scent. It is more the representation of a spiritual state, based on the paradox of an impossible ephemerality. It is perfume as art, the olfactory preservation of a moment, so that it may live forever.
