Proud To Protest

Launched on 10 February 2014

In response to the increasing crackdown on LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex) rights in Russia and in support of Amnesty International's campaign to raise awareness of human rights abuses in the country, fashion designer Gareth Pugh and filmmaker Ruth Hogben came together to create a short film - a meditation on the themes of chaos and control, illusion and propaganda, and the need for a unified response to Russia's recent actions. Ultimately it is a call to speak with one voice: love is a human right.
