Continuing to push the narrative of movement within menswear clothing, Bianca Saunders creates her first installation for luxury British department store Selfridges.

Continuing to push the narrative of movement within menswear clothing, Bianca Saunders creates her first installation for luxury British department store Selfridges.

The menswear atrium of Selfridges is now home to a first-time installation courtesy of Bianca Saunders. Launching the designer's Superimposed A/W 21 collection, the installation seeks to push the designer's continuous notion of movement within masculinity, with both the garments and space emphasising this narrative, inviting the customer into Bianca Saunders' world and creative process. The entire product selection includes misfit creased shirts, Y neck-lined tops and new textures for both outerwear and bottoms, presented in an installation - a format familiar to Saunders who previously presented a curatorial space at Pitti Uomo to showcase the sculptural nature to her warped tailoring.

Speaking of the collaboration, Saunders commented:

'I was super excited to be invited to create an installation as a part of introducing my brand to Selfridges. Selfridges has always been a department store that holds such high recognition with a great reputation of representing the best brands in the best possible way. It was so special to me to have this opportunity for an independent brand coming out of the global pandemic.'

The installation will run in the Selfridges Menswear Atrium from 18 October through to 21 November 2021.
