Maenads

Launched on 07 February 2020

In Greek mythology, maenads were the female followers of Dionysus, the god of pleasure: their name translates as 'raving ones.’ Against a brightly lit studio backdrop, a collection of women celebrate their bodies through independent touch and movement in emerging designer Sinéad O'Dwyer's wearable sculptures, moulded from fibreglass to emulate and exaggerate unique body shapes, honouring each distinct form.
