We've gone from Hippolyta (Atelier Versace) to Titiana in A Midsummer Night's Dream. For his second show at Dior Couture, Raf Simons presented a pixie walking in rows of green hedges. Sometimes, she looks as though she has on white capped toe high boots covering her little fairy legs underneath mid-calf poufs of iridescent or folded periwinkle. She skips about in a modern bar suit or pant and a little petal top or embroidered bustier. Her look is playful and layered, taking cues from the ladybird beetle's shell in shape (yellow geo capelet) though in tone more luna moth (soft mint green).
Mauve pops up amid pastels, pale pink mixes with orange and navy lends itself well with jewel green. Contrasting little coloured legs, like those of birds, stalk about beneath wide skirts. When night falls, she tumbles into the bushes amid pink and yellow buds she never dusts off. They cling beneath baby blue silk and mauve pants or on elbow length gloves worn with mint separates. Puck's in love with the one in yellow, she swivels left and some hip peeks out.
