Fashion officially can’t get enough of the metaverse. Joining the growing list of brands exploring Web3 is the New York-based label, Dion Lee. For its first foray into the metaverse, the brand is introducing an NFT collection dubbed Façade, featuring five digital garments and two full looks designed by Dion and brought to life by 3D digital artist Sam Walker. Hosted on the NFT marketplace Bubblehouse and created in partnership with MA+Creative, the 550 unit clothing NFT collection translates the sensual body-con designs of the brand for the virtual age.

The Dion Lee aesthetic is defined by freedom, strength and independence. Taking advantage of the infinite possibilities for self-expression in the metaverse, Dion Lee reimagines his signature silhouettes for the virtual world. Breaking free from societal constraints, the brand embraces otherworldly creativity reimagines boned corsets and utilitarian trousers in sheer, layered lace-like fabric. Taking a stand at the threat towards women's reproductive rights in his home of the United States, a percentage of proceeds from this NFT collection to the Women's Reproductive Rights Assistant Project (WRRAP). The non-partisan, nonprofit organisation raises money to organise in assisting women looking for safe, legal abortions or emergency contraceptives.
