Yasmin Sewell

Creative Consultant

Yasmin Sewell is a creative entrepreneur, and former retail and creative consultant. Sewell began her career at Harper's Bazaar in New York. She moved to London at 22 to open her own store, Yasmin Cho. The store quickly garnered success and Sewell found herself at the forefront of emerging nineties fashion, helping launch the careers of Rick Owens and Pierre Hardy.

Sewell was approached in 2005 by Joan Burstein to take the helm of high-end fashion store, Browns. Here she helped catapult aspiring designers such as Christopher Kane, Meadham Kirchhoff, Nicholas Kirkwood, Roksanda and Marios Schwab, and played a key role in pushing Acne into the European market.

In 2008, Sewell founded her namesake company, with its first project being the reinvention of London's iconic luxury department store, Liberty. Sewell also sat on the NewGen panel, was a British Fashion Council advisor, a British Fashion Awards judge, and vice president of style and creative for Farfetch.

In May 2021, she launched the multi-dimensional wellbeing brand Vyrao.
