Ports 1961

Brand

Luxury womenswear brand Ports 1961 was founded by Canadian fashion designer Luke Tanabe in 1961. It began with silk importation, later becoming known as being an upscale women's brand. In the mid-seventies, the brand expanded throughout Canada and the United States, also launching their menswear line. 1983 saw the brand open its Bond Street store in London, and in 2014 Central Saint Martins graduate Nataša Čagalj replaced Fiona Cibani as creative director, leaving in 2019. Following Čagalj's departure, art director Fabien Baron and stylist Karl Templer joined to lead the Ports 1961 creative team, overseeing visual identity and fashion, respectively.
