Peiman Zekavat

Peiman Zekavat is a London-based filmmaker and photographer. He has experience across all genres of the TV and film industry, having filmed in over 15 European countries, South America, North America, Russia, India and Africa, and covered major events including the FIFA World Cup, fashion weeks, current affairs, film and music festivals.

His passion for street photography won him the Photographer of the Year award in 2007, and in 2015 he received Rome International Documentary Film Festival recognition for his cinematography.

Both his fictional films and observational documentaries focus on social and humanitarian issues. In 2016, he filmed and directed his first six-episode documentary series about environmental destruction in the Amazon rainforest.
