Marta Franceschini

Fashion Historian

Marta Franceschini is a design historian and researcher.

She is part of the curatorial team of Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear at the V&A and has worked on various blockbuster exhibitions including Italiana: Italy through the Lens of Fashion 1971-2001 and Il Maschile: Androginous Mind Eclectic Body at the Gucci Garden Galleria. She collaborated with brand archives at Versace and Zegna and has contributed to the creation of the Giorgio Armani digital archive at Armani/Silos.

She holds a PhD from Università Iuav di Venezia and writes and lectures regularly on menswear history, material culture, research methodologies and curation.
