Lagos based designer Kenneth Ize founded his eponymous label in 2013 at Lagos Fashion Week, having graduated from the University of Applied Arts Vienna's fashion and design course. Ize's Spring/Summer 2015 collection re-launched the brand after the designer took a two-year hiatus to return to Austria to complete an MA.
Working from his studio in the Lagos suburb of Sabo Yaba, Ize interprets traditional West African fabrics and Nigerian craft, collaborating with artists and design groups across Nigeria in Kwara, Kogi and Lagos. A 2019 LVMH Prize finalist, Ize is also a recipient of the Arise Fashion Week Award for Designer of the Year.
