Daniel Proietto

Daniel Proietto is an Argentinian dancer and choreographer. Proietto was born in Argentina and educated with Teatro Cólon School of dance in Buenos Aires. Since then he has worked in a range of Ballet companies and contemporary companies in Europe and South America, going freelance in 2006 and collaborating with choreographers such as Ina Christel Johannesen, Amanda Miller, Sharon Eyal and Ohad Naharin.

Proietto received 1st prize at Hanover international choreography competition in 2007, and since 2008 has been working with Russel Maliphant Company in London, garnering great critical acclaim for his interpretation of Russel Maliphant's solo Afterlight. In 2010, he was awarded the title Dancer of the Year by critics from all over the world for the magazine Dance Europe.
