Anita Hirlekar

Anita Hirlekar is a fashion designer specialising in textiles. Originally born in Iceland, she moved to London to study at Central Saint Martins. In 2012, Hirlekar completed her BA in Fashion Design with Print followed by a MA, where she chose to specialise in Textiles for Fashion, under the guidance of Professor Louise Wilson. Hirlekar's MA collection was shown during the A/W 14 collections at London Fashion Week.

Her design signature has a strong focus on artistic glamour and individuality along with embracing modern craft. Hirlekar was the winner of the J.Crew x CSM cashmere project, and was a fashion finalist of the International Talent Support (ITS) competition in 2014. Her fashion collections have been featured in publications such as i-D, L'Officiel, Self Service and Elle US.
