Alexis Mabille
Fashion Designer
Alexis Mabille is a French fashion designer. Born in 1977, he grew up in Lyon, France.
In 1995 Mabille enrolled at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, graduating only two years later, as opposed to the usual three. After receiving his diploma in 1997, he undertook apprenticeships at Ungaro and Nina Ricci, before joining Christian Dior. During his nine years at Dior, he created fine jewellery and accessories for John Galliano, as well as the Dior Homme line overseen by Hedi Slimane.
Mabille launched Impasse 13, a unisex clothing collection, and Treizor, an accessories line specialising in bow ties, in 2005. He continues to show his eponymous ready-to-wear label in the French capital.
Having previously shown on the offical haute couture schedule as a guest member, Mabille was granted haute couture appelation by the Commission de Classement Couture Création in Paris in December 2012.
