A film made in isolation explores the circus of ritual and what it means to be creative during a pandemic. Despite their success, wealth and a beautiful home, an artist is taunted by their own thoughts of inadequacy which bar them from their own creative potential.

Directed and filmed by Alex Black on a vintage Super 8mm camera that belonged to her grandfather, the film is underpinned by a disconcerting and Hitchcockian quality. Starring Black's partner, musician and producer Gab Rhome, the film was created during the second lockdown in Canada in 2020.

'We had a need to stay creative and explore the new emotions we had been confronted with', says Black. 'The sacredness of the creative process came to the forefront. We found inspiration in collaboration and in our place of home. We were our own muses.'
