Yves Saint Laurent: The Last Collections

Launched on 30 October 2019

Suppressed for more than a decade, the 2019 film Yves Saint Laurent: The Last Collections was filmed in the now-shuttered Yves Saint Laurent couture atelier from 1999 to 2001 shadowing the legendary French fashion designer in the last years of his life. Originally screened in 2007, the documentary is a window into fashion past and depicts Saint Laurent's close yet fraught relationship with business and previous romantic partner Pierre Bergé. Bergé denied director Olivier Meyrou permission for the film to be released until shortly before the former's death in 2016.
