Willy Chavarria: The More I Get, The More I Want

Willy Chavarria moves through fashion with a proud Brown, Chicano, Gay worldview. His considered casting of models, pop stars and artists is equally family-focused, where everyone looks after each other. The resulting runway show and fashion film Safe From Harm presented collective emotions they, and anyone, could relate to. Mahmood, Kai-Isaiah Jamal, Dilone, Amara Xtravaganza, Yuji and Chachi Maserati starred in the New York-based designer Willy Chavarria's A/W 24 fashion film. For the first time, each artist-turned-actor shares their stories about how Safe From Harm was created with SHOWstudio's M-C Hill, in this intimate oral history.
