20 Borthwicks and a Warhol
Andy Warhol’s Polaroid of Mick Jagger was taken in 1975 and sits above the CDR desk. Warhol is the subject of a new book I will be publishing next year under the Claire de Rouen imprint. For more info on the Polaroid (it is reluctantly for sale!) email lucy@clairederouenbooks.com
On November 19th, Mark Borthwick came to London for the first time in 18 years and made his way directly to Claire de Rouen for the launch of his new book Africa, published by Jane&Jeremy. Mark has a rare spirit; generous, creative and intuitively brilliant. As well as launching the book, he brought hand-made poem books which he assembled in the shop, and some Polaroids taken on his travels. These are arranged on our wall, and each one is offered for sale.
