Video: Edwina Ashton & Matt Rudkin at Whitstable Biennale
The Whitstable Biennale is a festival of contemporary visual art held in a seaside town that has become an increasingly popular place for artists and curators to relocate to. The Biennial, officially, wants to recognise and celebrate this developing community. This year there is a focus on performance. Edwina Ashton and Matt Rudkin filmed their performative enterprises in and around Whitstable, and named it 'Beauty Spot'. The footage takes place in local shops, bars and the beach in Whitstable, and presents little tableaus of anthropomorphic activity.
