Fashion Film: She's Just Being M1ley
CSM student Gareth Wrighton borrowed footage of Miley Cyrus at the Met Ball for his take on Punk: DIY. Given the post-VMA Miley-mania this week, the work couldn't be more in tune to the zeitgeist. 'I was inspired by the accessibility of the plain white t-shirt to the punk scene, and how it was used as a platform to promote the messages of the cause the the wider public.', explains Wrighton. 'I further examined this accessibility against other methods of self publication, including zines and more recently, the use of digital media for social activism in the 21st century'.
