Panel Discussion: Joe Casely-Hayford An Icon For Our Times
The British Fashion Council and The BOLD Agency join SHOWstudio for a very special panel discussion exploring the work of the late British designer Joe Casely-Hayford OBE.
The discussion, chaired by designer and academic Andrew Ibi, explores not only the work of the man, but also his legacy. Panellists Ekow Eshun, Karen Binns, Caroline Rush, Walé Adeyemi and Tolu Coker-all major industry insiders-investigate some of the key themes that characterised Casely-Hayford's practice. These include identity, Britishness, heritage and the relationship between street culture and fashion.
Most importantly, the panel asks: 'What does Britishness look like now' and 'What contribution must the fashion industry make towards a new era?'
