Fashion Film: A Yard of Lunatics

A Yard of Lunatics is the first film collaboration between film director Rei Nadal and Thomas Alsop, creative director of Deathmask. Initially referencing Francisco de Goya’s 1794 homonymous painting, as well as Los Caprichos, the film explores and reinterprets the satire contained within these artworks on today’s sociopolitical landscape.

Purposely leaving an open interpretation to avoid the intent to indoctrinate, dancers Sonya Mohova, Yos Clark and Ethan Jacobs enact a visceral performance as a powerful reaction to the current media overload.

The film also combines the use of AI generated 'Goya-esque' artworks as well as candle light shots to marry old and new technologies.
