Artist Rob Unett created nine one-off illustrations based on the S/S 20 fashion that didn't make it on set for Nick Knight's Chris Lee for Vogue China March 2020 cover story. In keeping with the spirit of the shoot, Unett worked instinctively on perspex and then transformed the final artworks into prints exclusively for SHOWstudio.
'Reality becomes hyperreal and somehow the flatness feels wonderfully three dimensional as traditional techniques meet technology. Preparing all of my colours and tools beforehand, I used an array of techniques that included fine line, etched and collage elements. They are mini versions of the shoot that I hope compliment Nick Knight's amazing photographs.' Rob Unett
