Fashion Film: Arles
In 1985, Nick Knight started collaborating with Yohji Yamamoto alongside art director Marc Ascoli on the Japanese designer's infamous catalogues. The experience was seminal for Knight, who decided to start filming all of his shoots: a practice he has continued ever since. From this, came his first fashion film, unofficially created for Yamamoto's S/S 90 collection Arles.
Arles, edited by Jason Evan, was never released to the public until now, or shown to Yohji Yamamoto due to there being little space for fashion film in a world that was yet to be online.
