Conversation: Nick Knight and Mario Klingemann on the Potentials of AI

Is artificial intelligence our saviour or will it ultimately lead to our demise? Artist Mario Klingemann discusses the potentials for AI with Nick Knight, and the art work he created for the SHOWstudio x Harrods Future of Fashion project. Taking 20 years of catwalk imagery, Klingeman then transformed them into mesmerising new images, using an AI trained by him to imitate the painted language of 16th century painter Hieronymous Bosch.

Discussing the evolution of technology, beyond a pace which human beings can keep up with, Knight and Klingemann debate the role of the artist in creating our future, discovering new aesthetic worlds using AI and whether we should be skeptical about technology.
