Killed

Launched on 23 January 2002

Focusing on fashion imagery published and withdrawn at the time of the attacks of 9/11, Killed examines the criteria governing propriety in contemporary fashion publishing. The project focuses on a fashion story by Richard Bush, styled by Jane How, commissioned and executed in summer 2001 for the October 2001 issue of i-D magazine. In the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks, the story was rejected - or to use the industry term, 'killed' - for its coincidental referencing of the event.
