Marking SHOWstudio's next chapter in Web 3.0, founder and director Nick Knight's debut NFT collection titled ikon-1 reveals the physicality of digital art and the importance of creative process in the metaverse. Powered by Manifold and created with leading fashion innovators including Tom Wandrag, Eugene Souleiman, Marian Newman and a myriad of digital-native fashion designers, ahead of the public mint on Thursday 15 December 2022, SHOWstudio invite you to go behind the scenes of this future-facing project and enter the world of ikon-1. Taking over art gallery W1 Curates - located in the same building as Flannels on London's Oxford Street- on Saturday 10 December an immersive ikon-1 experience will be open to the public for free for one day only, offering you a chance to get up close and personal with the project's very own star Jazzelle (@uglyworldwide).
The facade of the building will be wrapped in an array of the 8,000 ikon-1 NFTs that will alternate throughout the day where inside screens will reveal specially-made process films, which will immerse you into the innovative process behind creating Nick Knight's one-of-a-kind digital fashion images. A celebratory love letter dedicated to the work by all that went into the project, this unique opportunity offers you the exclusive chance to marvel at the beauty of Jazzelle's photorealistic avatars, while also experiencing them as art statues in their own right.
'We're creating the first NFT with feelings, with emotions, and with a point of view', Knight told SHOWstudio. Each ikon-1 features a one-off combination of 200 unique traits, including virtual fashion, makeup, hair, and nail looks created by a cohort of over 40 innovators, designers, and mavericks at the forefront of fashion's digital future, personally curated by Knight and Jazzelle themselves. The screens at Flannels will let you in on the behind-the-scenes process, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the creativity that has led to each NFT's creation. Once minted, each NFT from the ikon-1 collection will grant access to future events and a personal homepage displaying the full 3D model of Jazzelle.
The SHOWstudio team will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions you may have, help you sign up to our Allowlist and create a digital wallet to mint ikon-1.

The exhibition space will be open to all between 10:00-18:30, and the exterior screens will be live for 24 hours from 06:00 on Saturday to 06:00 on Sunday.
