You're invited to Drawing Daphne, the hottest exhibition of the summer, taking place at none other than SHOWstudio's Belgravia-based studio.

Bringing the breathtaking private couture collection of the Honourable Daphne Guinness together with the art of fashion illustration, the exhibition will celebrate the work of 12 contemporary artists who were all invited to interpret the heiress' couture looks in real-time, capturing the life of her opulent archive. Armed with their easels while forming a visual orchestra, they produced more than 300 life drawings depicting the breathtaking couture outfits worn by the musician.

Intrigued by the illustrative creations and their magical charm, we extended the invitation globally, asking a further 11 illustrators from our international network of artists to contribute their unique takes on individual looks from the extensive collection. The resulting set of works remotely provides a counterpart to those who took part in a life drawing exercise. This unique selection of illustrations reimagines the multiple versions of the enviable wardrobe belonging to Guinness.

Displaying couture looks from Guinness' extensive archive, including designs by Alaïa, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Gareth Pugh and Tom Ford, alongside a breadth of fashion illustrations, the exhibition space recreates the vibrancy of a wardrobe often closed off to the public.

Drawing Daphne will also see esteemed journalist and collector Alexander Fury break down ten looks in an analytical, in-depth video essay unpicking garments and objects selected by Fury from Guinness' archive to complement the exhibition,
which has been curated around the idea of Marlene Dietrich and old Hollywood in mind.

Hosted at SHOWstudio in central London, visitors are invited to experience the creative and extraordinarily fashionable universe that is Daphne Guinness.
