When Nick Knight founded SHOWstudio in 2000, he was propelled by the desire to show fashion in movement. Fast forward 25 years later, and the industry has finally caught on, as proven by London College of Fashion's first ever fashion film showcase, opening to the public this June.
Celebrating the 2025 graduating students of London College of Fashion’s MA Fashion, Film, and Digital Production at the university's School of Media and Communication, the film festival highlights an array of cultural narratives that reveal explorations into identity, sustainability, gender and more.
Despite the medium of fashion film still being very much in its infancy, the festival's judging panel is a testament to how seriously LCF is taking the notion of fashion in movement, with representatives from cultural platforms like NOWNESS, V&A, BBC and even Sadler's Wells joining in to celebrate these visionary works, all of which question and redefine the boundaries of the school's Fashion Film and Digital Production courses.
Premiering at LCF's newest East Bank Campus at the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from 3 - 5 June, the festival not only celebrates fashion filmmaking but also champions each student's experimental approach to the medium via the use of cutting-edge contemporary filmmaking technologies.
Clear your calendar because this is truly set to be the fashion film festival of the year, made even better that it's free entry to all.
