Takahashi first launched his Undercover label in 1993 and has since collaborated with Uniqlo, Supreme and Valentino. After receiving mentorship from Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons, Undercover debuted at Paris Fashion Week in 2002 and has had the fashion world rapt ever since, counting Kim Jones of Dior Men's and Miuccia Prada as fans. Undercover is renowned for its assimilation of pop culture references, with previous collections drawing inspiration from films such as A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Suspiria.
