The Marni and No Vacancy Inn Collaboration Is Driven By Fluid Identity
Marni's creative director Francesco Risso has famously crafted an identity for himself that's crafty, kooky and somewhat rag-tag (as reported by the FT's Alexander Fury in August) since he came to the Italian label's helm in 2016. Toeing the line between the creative and slightly absurd while believing in an exchange of ideas and community building is what Risso's Marni does best, making them the perfect partner for Tremaine Emory, Ade 'Acyde' Odunlami and Brock Korsan's No Vacancy Inn; a brand that's a fellow kindred spirit in all it does.
Like Marni, No Vacancy Inn, too, shapes itself through different media, twisting, turning and morphing while refusing to follow creative patterns. From DJing to clothing, NVI notoriously refers to itself as 'not a fashion brand' but rather a lifestyle brand and a platform to tell stories.
Comprised of men's and women's ready to wear, shoes, accessories and 'lifestyle accessories', the collection's campaign debuted on 24 October, eagerly anticipating its release in Marni and select stores worldwide in April 2023.
