Telfar to Feature as 'Special Project' at Pitti Immagine Uomo 97

Every year the Pitti Immagine Uomo presents the latest in menswear and accessories and sees the launch of new men's fashion projects, and the international fashion fair has announced that unisex brand Telfar will be their special project in Florence next year.

Founded by Liberian-American Telfar Clemens in New York back in 2005, the fashion brand will bring his fluid and ‘simplex’ (a combination of simple and complex) design concept to the Italian city with a special event. Winner of the 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Prize, Telfar is known for holding community and inclusivity at its core, its unisex collections exploring identity and consumerism.

‘Telfar Clemens is one of the most interesting figures on the contemporary scene. For fifteen years, he has been promoting with tenacity an idea of inclusive and accessible fashion and business, with a project in which there is an unexpected blending of aesthetics, art, genre identity and functionality.
