Supriya Lele Releases A/W 19 Campaign Shot by Jamie Hawkesworth

In collaboration with British photographer Jamie Hawkesworth, British-Indian designer and Fashion East alum Supriya Lele has released her Autumn/Winter 2019 campaign that pays homage to their mutual hometown of Ipswich and embarks on a cross-cultural examination of Lele's own identity.

The juxtaposition and tender contradiction of the saturated hues and sensual drapery of Lele’s delicate Indian textiles against the bleak, harsh coastal scenery reflects a tension between the designer’s dual heritage and illustrates her role within the conflicting spaces she calls home.

Last season, Hawkesworth produced campaign imagery for Alexander McQueen and Marni - as an emerging designer, Lele is in excellent company.
