Jil Sander releases quietly confident limited capsule collection of 6 tiger-emblazoned pieces in time for Lunar New Year

In celebration of the Year of the Tiger, Jil Sander is launching a series of the brand's signature silhouettes adorned with a romantic watercolour of the creature at rest. The brand is proposing a softer vision of strength and determination for the new year, in line with the Jil Sander ethos of simplicity and comfort.

The pieces, printed on merino, silk, and cotton and ranging from a black and cream coat to a delicate scarf, offer a surprisingly impressionistic and fresh take on the tiger: no bared teeth here.

By no means alone in producing a Lunar New Year-focused collection, Sander has made pieces that stand confidently next to the feline offerings for the festival presented by Dior, Gucci and Coach.

Year of the Tiger Project is released on January 15 exclusively online and in select Jil Sander stores.
