Eva Mendes Empowers A Stella McCartney Fall Campaign

Noted pescatarian Eva Mendes heightens Stella McCartney’s ongoing commitment to sustainable fashion in a new fall campaign. Mendes and South-London’s own 2024 BRIT award winner RAYE raise the volume on climate awareness, promoting a conscious approach to fashion embodied by the animals each represents. Actor, model and author Eva Mendes is an advocate for immigrants, women and children. Her tireless entrepreneurial initiatives, including a zero-plastic solution to consumer water, define that of a stallion in life — strength, stamina and a relentless competitor.

RAYE in a full ivory shag wardrobe commands attention to polar bear habitats. A symbolic animal for shifting climates, the polar bear is a majestic, graceful and durable creature. Yet their survival depends on human responsibility to counteract the gradual erosion of their ecosystem. For Winter 2024, Stella McCartney showcases stars to amplify consciousness through considered imagery.

Kendall Jenner And Teezo Touchdown Rock The Suburbs

On the heels of creative director Francesco Risso’s stirring new presentation for Marni this week, we celebrate Risso’s first aesthetic reset in a chase towards new beauty in Marni’s fall campaign. Kendall Jenner and Teezo Touchdown walk among mere mortals, having been unleashed from Marni’s design conclave of better instincts. Domesticity is in whimsical contrast between their alien eccentricity, which means Marni mood boards succeed in real life environments. Gradually, Colin Dodgson’s lighting design pulls golden suburbia and Marni futurism together to emphasise the comfort between strange bedfellows. Marni’s shaggy shapes ease the tension from nuclear family typecasted backgrounds. We all know how strange suburbs can be. Leave it to them to normalise Marni’s furry fall.

Ann Demeulemeester Presents A KIDS Sequel In NYC

In March, Ann Demeulemeester creative director Stefano Gallici paid homage to brand muse Patti Smith with the release of KIDS. Inspired by the creative relationship between Demeulemeester, Smith, Mapplethorpe and more, the special project sought to highlight Gallici’s own global network of collaborators through a visual diary. Following the success of KIDS, a second edition curated by Gallici paints a tapestry of New York City’s underground art and culture. The first chapter of KIDS laid the groundwork for the project with a global roster of creatives from London, Paris and Berlin. As a tribute to the city that fostered Smith and Mapplethorpe’s iconic works, the second edition will focus on the diverse range of artists leading the charge in New York’s vibrant art scene.

''Leaving was never my proud, Leaving New York never easy’ were the Michael Stipe lines looping while I was floating around the city documenting its underground net. It was my first time in New York: self-discovery and discovering new artists and friends come together in a flux, a natural and spontaneous process that spawns this second chapter of KIDS, a new celebration of community and creativity,' says Gallici.

Shot over a whirlwind week in both iconic landmarks and hidden gems, the project features an eclectic lineup: musician Stella Rose Gahan, actor Quintessa Swindell, designer Jakob Hetzer, model Dakota Butler, and painter Hunter Amos. Each participant adds their own flavour to the narrative, weaving a rich tapestry of fashion, art, and culture that’s become the essence of KIDS.

Eli Russell Linnetz Shoots A Guess Jeans Mudfight

Guess Jeans USA head Nicolai Marciano taps Eli Russell Linnetz to launch the latest Guess fall campaign, featuring Juliana Nalu as its next face. Linnetz reimagines sex and commerce from Guess nostalgia using his Polaroid steroid aesthetic to shoot a dank dreamscape of erotic desire. Innuendo mud wrestles with lust. Sensuality gives way to release the beast inside Nalu, unlocking mud-washed denim, the obivous key signature for Guess A/W 24, to roar. Cracked leather emerging from the swamp mixes well with wax-coated denim to reflect the rustic air of desire ripping through Guess, as experienced through Russell Linnetz.

Off-White™ x AC Milan Play To Win

Anniversaries are a low key theme in this season’s Milan Fashion Week. Among Fendi’s centenary, Iceberg’s quinquagenary and Sunnei’s tenth sits football club AC Milan’s 125th anniversary. Sorry, no extra-long words for that number. Not to be outdone opposite Milano and Roman historicism, Off-White™ x AC Milan ushers in their partnership’s third year with new unis, a capsule collection and campaign that signifies competition plus cleverness. Their collection places the AC Milan Rossoneri red devil with vintage footie and 1-2-5 graphics across trademark Off-White™ varsities, hoodies, tees and accessories. Concepted and designed in Milan, the birthplace of both AC and Off-White™, the collaboration documents a partnership of goliaths in sport and sportswear. AC Milan men, women and Futuro teams were photographed by Nicoló Parsenziani in the collection’s range. Available on 19 September, in step with Milan Fashion Week, the Off-White™ x AC Milan capsule refuses to lose in the Milano game of fashion.

The Off-White™ x AC Milan capsule collection is available 19 September 2024, through Off-White™, Farfetch and AC Milan, plus the new AC Milan boutique “La Bottega del Diavolo” on Via Dante in the heart of Milan.

Simone Rocha And Crocs Return With Actual Shoes

Simone Rocha S/S 25 may have been inspired by the carnation, but its footwear is — some may say sadly — grounded by Crocs. Yep, they’re back. Simone Rocha and that divisive definition of footwear called Crocs, are re-running their best selling collaboration a third time. As before, Simone Rocha x Crocs crystallises airy flights of fantasy into mules and the Stomp Fisherman Sandal. Sprinkled with Rocha’s delightful crystal, pearl embellishments, the Crocs aesthetic yields to Rocha’s expertise as a crack art and sculpture retail shaman. She turns ‘clogs’ masquerading as real shoes into sandals that shod the foot just like coverage should whenever you head outside. Fashion, comfort and utility owe Simone Rocha a debt of gratitude.

JordanLuca Dance For London Fashion Week

JordanLuca will not be ignored. Social media questions and confusion this past week hit the boys’ DMs. ‘Are you having a catwalk show at London Fashion Week?,’ and ‘When is it happening?’ and 'Will there be underwear?'.

While we anxiously await their January show in Milan, Jordan Bowen and Luca Marchetto clarified everything with a party. The London-based menswear designers behind a British-Italian aesthetic keeping fashion trends in the palms of their hands, hosted a London Fashion Week blowout at One Hundred Shoreditch on 15 September. Enlisting Brooke Candy and Jodie Harsh as DJ’s, the boys used their IG accounts to promote the party. Attendees included Yves Tumor, Tayce and Bimini, Awhora and Princess Julia. Standing out among notable attendees were their popular JLT-3 jockstraps, shimmering dresses and spindly accessories from infrared S/S 24 and their black mini-Gotham Olympus bags gleaming in the darklights. Product never partied so hard.
