Selfridges Welcome Nicholas Daley Installation
Following the recent announcement that he's made the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Shortlist for 2022, Nicholas Daley has opened his second installation in the last couple of weeks, only this one's at Selfridges. His first pop-up store opened earlier this year in Soho, marked by an in-conversation event with legendary DJ and musician Don Letts which set the overall tone for the space. This time, Daley's S/S 22 Blue Quilt collection - another heavy mode to music - sits suspended in reputable department store Selfridges.
The collection involves a myriad of references featuring bespoke quilted fabrics curated by UK-based quilter Chris English, incorporating past season dead stock Nicholas Daley fabrics and hand-knitted plant pots made from recycled yarns, which all come together through Daley's signature dedication to craftsmanship. The installation includes the collection's S/S 22 campaign imagery courtesy of Piczo and a specialist artwork banner by Gaurab Thakali.
