Chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci has crafted a limited edition capsule collection inspired by Burberry's storied heritage, entitled Burberry's Future Archive. Drawing specifically on Burberry's historic innovations with outerwear (such as Thomas Burberry's invention of gabardine in 1879, the breathable and waterproof fabric used to make Burberry trench coats), Tisci looked back to classics within the British house's archive for inspiration.

Updated outerwear classics like bomber jackets, diamond-quilted coats and field jackets all feature in the collection, modelled by Jourdan Dunn and Adrian Chabada in a campaign shot by Alessio Bolzoni. Selected pieces are available in a numbered limited edition of 150.

The collection will be sold in a selection of Burberry stores, burberry.com and exclusively through Mytheresa from 5 January.
