Reebok and Botter's collection (first teased at Botter's A/W 24 show) celebrating Caribbean culture is finally landing in stores this week.
Last January, Botter’s A/W 24 show gave us a sneak peek into an exciting collaboration with Reebok that will finally drop on 23 October. A vibrant collection inspired by the energy of the Caribbean, where founders Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh hail from, Reebok and Botter have merged forces to create a lineup of tracksuits, jersey-inspired polo shirts, an exciting footwear collaboration, and accessories. The collection will be available on Reebok's website, as well as selected retailers.
Botter’s designs dive deep into an aquatic aesthetic, with monochromatic blues flowing through the collection, paying homage to the vibrant streets of the Caribbean island of Curaçao. Blending football culture with Reebok’s iconic pieces, the collaboration showcases a football jersey-inspired polo shirt, first unveiled on the Botter runway last winter, bringing sportswear into the realm of street style. This fusion of influences is at the heart of Botter's design philosophy, where cultural heritage meets sharp tailoring to create their unmistakable signature look.
The shoes in the collaboration take the popular Reebok Energia Bo Kéts and infuse with influence from Botter’s vibrant colour palette. In four unique colourways, the shoes feature both brand's emblem, Reebok’s signature logo along the side, with the Botter name, in raised text on the heel of the design. Drawing from the football scene in Curaçao, the cleat-inspired footwear in this collaboration play into the language of both sport and street style.
It’s exciting to see a brand like Botter work with Reebok, one of the giants in sportswear. Reebok has stepped up their game, this is just the most recent of footwear collaborations, expanding their fashion canon. Known for their 'Caribbean Couture', Botter's ethos of sustainability and expert tailoring have turned heads in recent years, and with this collaboration, cement themselves as a design team to be reckoned with. With creative duo Herrebrugh and Botter at the helm, rich representation of their heritage is on full display with this electrifying collection.
