Prada x Adidas Reveal First Products in Their Sports Based Collaboration

The first products in the Prada for adidas Limited Edition collection have been unveiled today, a two-item drop that includes a pair of shoes and a bag. Combining adidas' sports and subcultural roots with Prada's modern and luxurious, the highly anticipated collaboration sees the creation of a sports-based collection as its first drop. Inspired by clean simplicity and timeless designs, the duo merges their shared narratives and intersecting heritages in their first collaboration together.

The exclusive limited editions come in drops of only 700 pieces, with each piece being branded with a unique serial number. The accessories capsule, made in Italy by Prada, looks to pay 'homage to timeless classics that transcend generations.'

The first release in the collaboration sees a reworking of the classic adidas Originals Superstar sneaker. Keeping the original Superstar design, which was first made in 1969, the shoe is finished with Prada’s full-grain leather and herringbone-pattern rubber sole. The shoe comes in a simple white colour way, with its signature adidas triple-stripe, logo-pint on the heel reworked alongside a Prada logo.

The second item in the drop is inspired by the Prada Bowling bag, echoing the adidas gym bags too. The Prada Bowling bag for Adidas is made out of calf leather with a sports nylon strap and features duel Prada and Adidas Originals logos. Like the shoes, the bag comes in a white colourway with black detailing to create a simple yet sharp offering.

Prada for Adidas will be available worldwide from December 4 online through adidas.com and prada.com and at selected Prada stores.
