Prada Announces Adidas Collaboration

Italian luxury fashion house Prada partners with adidas with #PRADAFORADIDAS.

Jumping on the trend of luxury-sportswear hybridity, Italian fashion house Prada has announced a collaboration with sports-giant adidas for the upcoming season. Announcing via a mysterious Instagram post, the house released an image of two adidas shoe boxes inside a Prada bag with the caption ‘#Pradaforadidas @adidas @adidasoriginals. Coming soon.’

This unexpected partnership of Prada and adidas unites the two iconic brands, and hopes to, ‘celebrate heritage while challenging the fashion status quo.' Whilst limited information is currently available, we can assume the two adidas shoe boxes in the image (one Originals, the other mainline adidas) mean the collaboration will see the creation of two new shoe designs that combine the two brands' design codes.
