Off-White and The Chicago Bulls Team Up In A Tribute To Virgil Abloh

There is no denying that Virgil Abloh was a man of many talents. The creative polymath was heralded for his work as artistic director of Off-White and Louis Vuitton menswear and was also a celebrated DJ and artist. Still, like many fellow Chicagoans, he had an immense passion for his hometown team, the Chicago Bulls. It’s only appropriate then that the late designer would be paid the ultimate tribute in the form of a collaboration between his label Off-White and the Chicago Bulls. The limited edition release is part of innovative e-tailer Farfetch’s new concept, Farfetch Beat, which introduces exclusive products from today’s biggest contemporary brands.

The Chicago Bulls' legendary logo gets a playful refresh as the Windy City’s iconic mascot is cartoonified. As part of Farfetch Beat 008, the initiative's latest drop sees four limited edition Off-White garments splashed with the exclusive logo. The capsule was first previewed in Paris last month the same day the Bulls played the Detroit Pistons. Refreshing the collegiate and sportswear styles that Off-White has become synonymous with, the limited capsule features a t-shirt, hoodie, and two varsity jackets adorned with a caricature of the scowling bull.

In honour of the late designer, the capsule was the brainchild of long-time friend and collaborator Don C, Off-White CEO Andrea Grilli, and the Abloh Family. As a tribute to Abloh’s legacy proceed from the collection will be donated to the Virgil Abloh Foundation. Launched in 2020 by the trailblazing visionary, the ‘Post-Modern’ Scholarship Fund looks to support the next generation of Black, African-American, or African descent creatives by providing a support system to help launch their careers.
