The Budapest-based label have found a home for their London-based flagship store in Mayfair.

In recent years, brands have started looking at their flagships stores, not just as stores but something much more - almost akin to a place of worship; a holy sanctuary. These spaces don't only offer the clothes they sell, but they offer relaxation and promote a whole lifestyle along with it. You've only got to go to Mayfair to understand this modern phenomenon, where Matches HQ, home to many pop-ups and evening events resides at 5 Carlos Place with a garden (and a fountain.) The home of a collector also inspires New Bond street's Loewe flagship store taking inspiration from the Spanish label's roots in promoting an art-based lifestyle filled with ceramics and sculpture.

The latest addition to the home-inspired aesthetic of London's fashion boutiques is Nanushka's London-based flagship store. Once the home to the renowned Lefevre gallery, the grade 11 listed building situated at 30 Bruton Place in Mayfair has been given a new lease of life and is now a site where you can immerse your self and adopt the Nanushka bohemian lifestyle.

The flagship store follows similar Nanushka aesthetics that have been adopted by the brand since its creation from London Collage of Fashion graduate, Sandra Sandor, in 2005. The Budapest-based label is known for creating bohemian-inspired pieces for the modern and minimalist; a consumer who values above all else, functionality, practicality and quality. Bearing this in mind, the new flagship has been re-designed with the help of Paris-based interior design company, Festen Architecture, to help recreate the same atmosphere of the brand's original store in Budapest. 1970s adaptations of the original Bauhaus Marcel Breuer chair sit next to Travertine tables, in a textural swirl of off-white and burr wood. Keeping in line with the original character of the building, decorative elements such as the ornate chimneypieces have been carefully preserved and woven into the new additions.
