MSGM Launch Fila Tennis Capsule
The Italian brand MSGM have launched a capsule collection with the sportswear label Fila, all in the name of tennis. Combining the youthful attitude of designer Massimo Giorgetti's acid tie-dyes and prints with Fila's sportswear DNA, the new collaboration offers up a men's and women's uniform fit for wearing both on and off court. Earlier this year, Fila marked their 110th anniversary with a collection with Katie Grand, and by teaming up with MSGM, one of the few younger brands on the Milan schedule, Fila continue to reinvent themselves for a contemporary audience.
Marking the Roland Gorros grand slam tournament in Paris later this month, in which some of the participating athletes will be decked out in the new kit, the capsule features performance wear with a twist. Updating archive designs, Giorgetti's offering isn't your typical tennis gear. Tennis dresses, tank tops and shorts come in white lace and tie die, with an eclectic purple, blue, pink and lime print bringing a sixties twang to dresses and track tops.
The collection is a continuation of Fila and MSGM's on-going collaboration, previously creating the 'Edition Silva' trainers for MSGM A/W 19 menswear and the 'Andrenaline' for MSGM S/S 20 menswear.
