Moncler Genius is switching things up. The off-shoot of the French skiwear brand, which was launched by CEO Remo Ruffini in 2018 and invites an annual line-up designers to innovate the label's signature down jacket, typically shows at Milan Fashion Week each February in the Piazzo Della Scintelle. In 2020, they announced they were working towards a show in China - a vital market for luxury brands working towards a post-pandemic boost. Now, in an effort to close the gap between our digital and physical worlds, a newly titled event MONDOGENIUS, will take place online this September. Moving their show time, and therefore when clothes hit stores, to fit in better with customers and the ski season, Moncler invites everyone to experience a host of creations.

Hosted by the musician Alicia Keys, MONDOGENIUS will take place on a dedicated microsite on 25 September, 2021.

'In these ever-evolving times, I truly believe in the power of connecting communities around the world through experiences. The greatest inspirations I had in my life came directly from people and at Moncler we know that the more we inspire people, the more they inspire us. This is the principle that guided the creation of Moncler Genius for 2021...MONDOGENIUS has been designed to be a real immersion into Moncler’s energy and cultural evolution without leaving anyone out', said Ruffini in a statement to press.

This year, JW Anderson, Matthew Williams's 1017 Alyx 9SM, 1952 Woman (Veronica Leoni), 1952 Man (Sergio Zambon), Grenoble and FRGMT Hiroshi Fujiwara return to the roster alongside newbies Palm Angels, Gentle Monster and DingYun Zhang. Viewers will be led on an immersive trip round some of the greatest cities in the world, from New York to Milan to Shanghai, Tokyo and Seoul, exploring the concepts behind this year's collections.
