Moncler and Stone Island unite forces and merge as one in bid to develop a new shared vision of luxury.

It's been announced that Moncler will buy Stone Island for $1.4 billion in a deal that is set to unify the brands without merging them entirely. Sharing a philosophy in 'beyond, fashion, beyond luxury,' the two Italian brands hope that the decision to join forces will reinforce their positions in the luxury sector.

Thanks to Moncler chairman and CEO Remo Ruffini, the Moncler Genius project has meant that Moncler has seen incredible growth over the past few years; the luxury ski-wear brand has collaborated with the likes of, J.W Anderson and Pierpaolo Piccioli.

Remo Ruffini, Chairman and CEO of Moncler S.p.A. comments: 'I have always worked to build a strong brand where uniqueness and closeness to the consumer have been the cornerstones of development, always beyond trends and conventions. Sharing the same vision leads us today to joining forces with Stone Island to write our future together.
