According to the Lyst Index’s Q3 findings, Miu Miu has surpassed Loewe and Prada as the most searched brand in the world.

While parents should never pick a favourite we wouldn’t blame Miuccia Prada for liking Miu Miu just a little more than Prada right now. And for good reason. Lyst, the pioneering fashion tech company and shopping platform has just announced that Miu Miu has taken the top spot as the hottest brand in the world after trailing closely behind Loewe, Prada, and Versace in Q2. Rounding off the top three are Loewe and Prada who was number one this time last year.

Miu Miu S/S 24

With over 200 million users on Lyst, the company tracks not only searches but also the shopping habits and social engagement of consumers all around the world. From July to September engagement of Miu Miu far surpassed its competitors thanks to searches for pieces like the Arcadie bag. Miu Miu’s ascension owes in large part to the virality of 'ballet-core' with their signature ballet flats becoming street-style staples that have become inescapable on social media.

Miu Miu S/S 24

Of course, we can’t attribute this newfound popularity to a single pair of shoes. While this year marks the Italian label's 30th anniversary, rather than focusing on a retrospective look of the brand, founder Miuccia Prada reaffirmed Miu Miu's youth-centric appeal with her S/S 24 collection. Appealing to a consumer base younger than that of their luxe 'elder sister' Prada, the show held in Paris as part of fashion week saw A-listers including Sydney Sweeney and Emma Corrin in the front row. Always one for a star-studded cameo, it was popstar and heartthrob Troye Sivan who made headlines when he strutted down the catwalk this season.

Poster Girl S/S 24 campaign

Other notable entries in Lyst's findings include Helmut Lang and Poster Girl. The former thanks to creative director Peter Do's highly anticipated debut show which was the topic of conversation for our New York Fashion Week live studio panel this season. As for Poster Girl, the Gen-Z favourite label captivated fans new and old with a viral campaign showing party girls getting in trouble with the law. With fashion as fickle as ever, we'll be keeping our eyes glued on Lyst as we enter the last leg of 2023. Who knows, by January these new entries could surpass Miu Miu as the hottest brand in the world.
