Bringing together more than 30 artists, Glimpses of Art's exhibition We are what we see gives way to various artist disciplines, from photography, painting, drawing and sculpture to digital art and NFTs. Renowned artists Floria Sigismondi, Sandro Kopp, and Apollonia Saintclair will feature in the exhibition and SHOWstudio contributor, avant-garde couturier Michaela Stark. These creatives, amongst others, make up the exhibition's impressive statistic of more than 90% of women and non-binary artists featured in the exhibit.
Narrated as 'an emotional and sensory experience', joint curators Auronda Scalera and Lidia Ravviso - in collaboration with the designer Andres Ros Roto and the vanguardist studio Kimatica - have purposefully put emphasis on the exhibition's overall design, lighting and A/V interactions to go above and beyond the traditional constraints of what these spaces usually offer. The public are encouraged to reflect on transformation within the artist's work, understanding the circular notion of the show's title We are what we see to help move towards a fluid conception of body, intimacy and identity in celebration of freedom of expression.
