Martine Rose And Clarks' Arborist Adventure
In an imaginative twist, Martine Rose dives deep into the earthy origins of Clarks for the A/W 24 collection, Coming Up Roses, where classic footwear takes on a vibrant new life. Rose, acting as guest creative director for a second season, wields her vision to craft bold, unexpectedly comfortable pieces that embrace the enduring charm of Clarks.
Captured by the lens of Sharna Osborne, the campaign finds its setting in the lush woodlands of Somerset, England—a nod to Clarks' birthplace over two centuries ago. The A/W 24 visuals introduce us to local foresters and arborists, scaling centuries-old pines, lounging high in hammocks, and flashing pops of pink and tangerine from heights you wouldn’t expect to spot a bold heel. With The Sling—a chic, rosy-hued reinvention—and The Clog, a new slip-on style, these characters put the collection’s remarkable comfort to the test.
Returning favorites like The Oxford and The Loafer reappear, now redefined with technical fabric uppers and pillow-like padding. The Torhill Hi, a tribute to Clarks’ beloved Wallabee, gets an upscale reboot in walnut faux-croc that begs for a second glance. Each piece marries the timeless comfort of Clarks with Martine Rose’s modern, irreverent touch.
The result is a collection for everyone, for every climb, and for every moment of respite. Dive into these grounded, yet elevated designs, available exclusively on MartineRose.com and Clarks.com starting 7 October, with a global release on October 10 at select retailers.
